“Easter joy”
Happy Easter! We wish you, your relatives and friends health, happiness, kindness, peace, love and joy!
No holyday from orthodox calendar brings so much warmth and light to people as Easter.
This exhibition was organized by Donetsk local history museum and art-exhibition center “ArtDonbass”. “Easter joy” presents to the visitors more than 70 unique showpieces of arts and crafts, made in different techniques: easter eggs, miniature painting, beading, embroidery, origami, quilling, stone, glass painting, sculpture, woodcarving etc. These exhibits are made of natural and synthetic materials and decorated with Easter attributes.
Such unique items as forms for baking easter cakes, forms for making cheese easter cakes, easter towels, easter cards from 19th – 20th centuries are represented at the exhibition. Easter eggs decorated by using different techniques (pysanki, krashanki, malyovanki, shkryabanki) are truly masterpieces.
Great examples of miniature painting from “Monakhova Art Gallery Workshop” and the art-studio “Veres” are provided by Donetsk local history museum and “Art-Donbass”. Each wooden easter egg was created individually and is a unique and exclusive item.
Wonderful children`s paintings, created especially for this holyday are a great supplement to the exhibition.
